There is no 1 sure way of zapping burnout away or banishing it forever to a far away land, never to return! If anyone claims there is, they are a fraud!
Like all things in wellness, most things are a work in progress! It took me a while to come back with part 2, but here it is!
🌿Signs of Burnout and How to Navigate Them Part 2 (finally!) 🌿
Burnout is real, and it’s more common than we realize. As we juggle responsibilities, the line between passion and exhaustion can blur. We often don’t notice the signs until they take a toll.
Here are a few to watch for:
🌿 Constant Fatigue – No matter how much you rest, the exhaustion lingers. This is common after prolonged stress, caregiving, or grief.
🌿 Decline in Performance – You’re working harder, yet achieving less. For high achievers, this is sneaky—because the instinct is to push even harder, worsening the cycle.
🌿 Loss of Motivation – What once excited you now feels like a chore. I’ve had moments of wanting to walk away from things I’ve poured months into—simply because they no longer felt “exciting.”
🌿 Increased Irritability – Small things set you off (my kids usually notice first!). You feel emotionally drained and disconnected.
🌿 Physical Symptoms – Headaches, muscle tension, or disrupted sleep may be signs. Ever noticed persistent neck or back pain during stressful times?
How to Navigate Burnout:
🌿 Recognize the Signs Early – Awareness is the first step. I even plan ahead for burnout when tackling major goals!
🌿 Set Boundaries – Saying no is a full sentence. Scheduling helps enforce limits.
🌿 Prioritize Self-Care – Your well-being holds everything else up. I’ll share more on my personal resilience recipe in another post!
🌿 Seek Support – Talk to a mentor, coach, or friend. You don’t have to do it alone.
🌿 Embrace Imperfection – As a recovering perfectionist, I remind myself: Done is better than perfect—always!
Burnout doesn’t define us; how we respond does. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, give yourself permission to rest.
